The book series "Lenny's Adventures - The stories of a young helicopter pilot" is about a nine-year-old boy called Lenny, who fulfills his dream of becoming a helicopter pilot and makes exciting experiences throughout his life. Together with Bello and Charlie, his best helicopter-friends, he climbs all ups and overcomes all downs that come along with being a helicopter pilot. His adventures are about friendship and family, hope and courage, but also fear, doubts and failures, which Lenny can overcome again and again with the help of his friends and others.

my name is Manuel Mai, I am married and have two children. I live with my family in a quiet place in the north west of Germany. I've been a professional helicopter pilot for around 20 years. I started my career as a pilot in the Army. This period has taken up most of my professional life so far. After serving in the armed forces, I flew in the ermegency medical service and off the mainland (offshore). I have had a lot of exciting experiences and impressions during my pilot life. When I tell children about my experiences, they listen intently to me. This gave rise to the idea of ​​writing down the stories in children's books. Starting from the moment I wanted to become a helicopter pilot.
The stories are from real life and written for children. But I am sure that adults will like my stories too.
